SaD 012 - What's Your Angle?

A bit of a step down in quality from the last few SaDs here methinks. Loads of things wrong with both characters in addition to the general lack of quality.

Some of you may recognize that big dude from New Meridian. I just thought it'd be half funny to see my angler meet that angler. I don't think I'll submit this to the Skullgirls art groups though, it's a bit too OCish for me to feel right.

Fun facts about anglerfish: the males are tiny - barely a sixth the size of the females - and only females have lanterns. I think that big dude has a little secret going on there!

Some notes about Laira's clothes.
I made them all silks and flowing sheets because underwater she'd never be able to wear anything like that - it'd keep getting in the way whenever she stopped swimming. I figure Laira would probably be the kind of person to use all her new options when out of the water.

Everything is also designed so that it can be tied on around her tail and the large fin on her back.

I gave her tail a sandal of sorts to match her actual sandals. Any appendage that big would drag along the ground outside of the water, so it'd need some protection.

You may have noticed a slight design discrepancy with that - it covers up her tail fins. All of Laira's fins are designed to be able to lie flush with her skin like a paper fan - that's why there's a thick spine on one side of them. It gives them support so she can open and close them at will.

I generally spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking through the mechanics of the characters I design.
