SaD 013a - Non Plussed Claire (Colors)

I was curious to see what a pencil sketch like this would look like if I lashed on some quick colors. It came out kind of nice! I still like the pencils feel though, so I won't get rid of the original pencils submission. Actually I like these quick colors so much I'll probably do this most of the time in future.

Skullgirls has a ridiculously fantastic set of background NPCs populating its stages. Claire here immediately caught my eye as one of the best in the early game footage - second only to Minette! I'm pretty shocked it's taken me this long to draw her.

She's only ever been in one piece of (publicly displayed) art that I'm aware of outside of New Meridian, and it shows her alongside Venus Lovelace, so hopefully she'll pop up in a more prominent role in Skullgirls 2 or something. Even if she was still an NPC I'd like to see her pop up in story modes like Feng or Minette.

This came out a little too much like the sprite again despite me actually using this as a posing reference: Sophia Pose - WARNING - Here there be nudity. Regardless the similarities I really like this picture. This daily practice routine has done wonders.
